COVID-19 ADJUSTMENTS: The Comprehensive examination for Art majors normally assesses a year-long process via the production and exhibition of a Portfolio of work, an oral defense, a public presentation, and a 3,000 to 5,000-word thesis that presents a critical inquiry of the Portfolio. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and cancellation of all on-site classes, the following constitutes the ART 430 course requirements and by extension, the Art Comprehensive exam. NOTE that there will not be any physical exhibition, nor oral defense.
Exhibition: present an online portfolio, accessed from this site, the University Art Gallery site, and each Art Major’s web site, comprising the complete thesis body of work, providing detail views wherever necessary. A link to the portfolio is sent to all Art Faculty. Due: 9 AM, Friday April 17, 2020.
Defense: A Zoom.us discussion with Art faculty, while referencing the online portfolio. 30 minutes. TBD, during the week starting Monday April 20.
Thesis: 9 AM, Monday April 27, 2020. Final Thesis due from all Art SRs, email to all Art faculty, as PDF and Word, named: Lastname_FinalThesisPaper
