Class meetings are on Mondays, from 1 PM to 4:30 PM in Nabit 103 unless otherwise noted. Additional mandatory meetings for presentations and gallery events are also noted below.

  • DUE MIDTERM THESIS PAPERS, noon, emailed to faculty
  • Due CVs, Individual Artist Statement, Bio and 2 images, emailed to Shelley
  • Due Joint Artist Statement and Press Release, emailed to Shelley

  • DUE: Cover Letter- emailed to Jessica before class.

  • Discuss: Raqs Media Collective: How to be an Artist by Night  (username: drawpaint  password: nabitart)
  • Prepare for 03.23- 5 minute oral presentation on one work of art, speaking without notes.

Mon- 03.16 SPRING BREAK

  • Studio visits
  • 5 minute oral presentations on one work of art, without script. Work may be presented formally in the front of the Nabit classroom, or in the form of a presentation on screen. (Do not set work up, for this exercise, in studio spaces).
  • Thesis writing workshop- bring printed out copy of latest version of thesis, scratch paper and colored, writing utensils (highlighters, colored pencils/pens) to class.

  • 12:30 PM Projection check for presentations, Convocation Hall
